Join this session and discover if “differentiated instruction” is just a current buzzword or a way of transforming student learning.

Participants will leave the session understanding that differentiated instruction need not be complicated or considered individualized instruction for each student. Using the model of differentiation by expert in the field, Carol Ann Tomlinson, educators will be able to better meet their learners’ needs by considering the content, process, and product of a lesson or unit of study.

This session will not only provide a simple model for differentiated instruction, but also give attendees opportunities to put theory into practice. Educators will begin the new school year able to provide differentiated instruction quickly and seamlessly!

Donna obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from East Texas Baptist University. She obtained her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M – Commerce. Donna also has certifications in both Early Childhood Education and Gifted and Talented Education. She has served in both public and Christian schools for over 35 years, spending time as both teacher and building administrator. Donna currently serves as the Principal for Prestonwood Christian Academy’s North Campus.
